ABOUT PERIOD OF CHANGE

Period of Change is a groundbreaking movement that reclaims menarche as a sacred rite of passage, offering mothers and daughters a space to honor the transition from girlhood to womanhood with wisdom, confidence, and reverence.

Rooted in menstrual literacy, body sovereignty, and generational healing, Period of Change dismantles cultural shame around menstruation and restores the knowledge that has been lost through centuries of patriarchal conditioning.

Created and led by author, educator, and menstrual literacy advocate Amy Wilding, Period of Change is more than just a program—it is a cultural shift, inviting families to embrace menstrual wisdom as a source of power rather than secrecy.

Through in-person workshops, online courses, and leadership training, Period of Change is setting a new standard for how we talk about and experience menstruation.

MISSION & VISION

Our mission is to create a world where:

• Menstruation is recognized as a source of wisdom, not shame.

• Girls/menstruators grow up with accurate, empowering information about their bodies.

• Mothers/caregivers heal their own menstrual narratives while guiding their daughters with confidence.

• Menstrual literacy is woven into mainstream education as a form of self-trust and sovereignty.

• Families actively shift the cultural narrative around periods, ending cycles of silence and misinformation.

OFFERINGS & PROGRAMS

Period of Change provides multiple pathways for engagement:
